Cropping a Petz Image
Hurray! You just adopted a gorgeous petter, and now want to add them to your signature at your favourite forum, or even on your website!
Let's use this picture of Tandem as an example. >>
You see all that unwanted white space around him? This is what we will be cutting -- or cropping off. What we're really doing is minimizing the image width and height so it is as small as it can be, meeting just the end pixels of the image. A visual, if you please?
With that in mind, let's begin!
Step One: Choose Your Image
Open MS Paint and select 'File >> Open' or press 'Select+O'.
Find your 'PetzPix' folder, then select your image. We'll be using 'thank you.bmp'.
Open it up, and cropping is underway! (Doesn't Tandemmy-boo look cute? :3)
Step Two: Cropping to the Upper Left-Hand Corner
Click on the 'Zoom' feature and zoom in '8x'.
Select 'Edit >> Select All' or press 'Ctrl+A'.
(You should now see a dotted line outlining your entire image. If you click on the image and move it around, the outline will show where your image ends and where the canvas begins.)
We're first going to crop the left-hand side of the image. Move the image as far left as you can, until the first pixel of your pet is touching the end.
Now, repeat with the top!
Excellent! Now, zoom out, save it wherever you'd like to save it, and we shall finish this up! n_n Let's see what we have so far.
Step Three: Finish Cropping!
Zoom in again, this time to the bottom. Find the node in the center -- that little dot that you can move to adjust the canvas size. Move it up until it touches the very bottom pixel of the image.
Now repeat with the right side.
Zoom out and... -drumroll-
TA-DAH!
All cropped and ready to go. :) Save it as a .GIF or .PNG and you're done!
