The Poses
Generally speaking, there are three poses that are used in common petz shows. They are the Dali, Standard / Dane, and the... cat... pose. o_0 While there are other, more 'specialized' poses (ie the Poodle and Siamese), these three are the most recognized. So let's see them. :D I also wrote what I look for in each pose. n_n By the way, a dog who is overposing or has a deflated chest will not place. I do not accept puppy/kitten poses, along with petz facing the wrong way.

The Dali Pose
What I look for most in a dali pose is aligned wrists (like all OBs), and level noses. I tend to place dogs with nose shines that are equal, and noses that have a pixel between each nostril. The head must be facing me, and the dog must be pointing right.

The Standard/Dane Pose
Like the Dali, I look at wrists and noses when judging a standard pose. The wrists must be aligned. The dog must be proud, with a high or level head and proud expression. The higher the nose does not mean the higher the placement in my opinion, I will place a dog with a lower nose if I feel everything else benefits his head height. Eyes must be aligned, and only a small portion of the opposite eye may be showing. The head must be a profile, and the dog must be facing right.

The Cat Pose
Catz, in my opinion, are the easiest to judge. They must face right, have a wide-eyed expression with even eyelids*, have aligned front feet, and a nicely curved tail. I do prefer that a cat has a tail that curves as far as it can over it's back. Alley's will be judged on how far their tail manages to curve (which generally means straight out xD). Catz with no tails will not be overlooked, I'll just assume their tail (or lack of one) is correct. xD

*Certain breeds & personalities may not allow for 'wide eyes', such as the B+W, Alley, and Oshie. B+W's & Alleys are allowed 'angry eyes', while Oshie's are allowed 'sad' or 'scared' eyes. :)

The Point System
For every show you enter, your pet has a chance to win one of five placements. If the winners are announced and you haven't placed, I'm afraid you don't get any points. However, if you do place, the points awarded are as follows:

BIS (Best in Show): 5 points
1st: 4 points
2nd: 3 points
3rd: 2 points
HM (Honorable Mention): 1 point

Rankings
When you add up all your show points, there are certain amounts of points that correlate to a 'title' that you pet has earned. With each title comes an optional abbreviation to be put in front of their show name.

Reserved Champion (RCh.) - 5 points
Champion (Ch.) - 10 points
Grand Champion (GCh.) - 15 points
Master Grand Champion (MGCh.) - 20 points
Supreme Grand Champion (SGCh.) - 30 points
Ultimate Grand Champion (UGCh.) - 50 points

Need an example? Alrighty! This is Raeim, my lovely dali from Mieux. Collectively, she has earned 54 show points. Since you need 50 points to gain it, that would allow her the title "Ultimate Grand Champion".
